Hi everyone, I’m a UK teacher in New Zealand, currently teaching Year 1 and 2. Like everyone else, I’m currently in lockdown and, in between cleaning almost everything and watching literally everything on Netflix, I had to spare a thought for parents. We teachers are an unusual breed; phrases like fronted adverbials and improper fractions trip gayly off the tongue and usually it doesn’t actually matter because at the end of the day, as long as we and the kids know what we’re talking about, it’s fine!
